Offline Route Geometry and GeoJSON Transit Manifests

Relying on cloud-dependent mapping tiles introduces single points of failure during remote field operations. Storing transit routes and waypoints as structured GeoJSON files guarantees offline availability across mobile and desktop nodes.

GeoJSON Routing Invariants

  1. Standardized Feature Collections: Routes serialize as RFC 7946 compliant FeatureCollections containing LineString geometries and elevation metadata.
  2. Local Tile Caching: Offline map bundles store vector tiles in local SQLite containers, eliminating runtime network requests.
  3. Waypoint Metadata Linking: Waypoints reference local contact dossiers and equipment inventories via direct wikilinks.

Sovereign navigation tooling ensures transit routes remain functional beyond cellular network boundaries.
