Deterministic Evaluation of Nested Task Hierarchies
Nested task trees often suffer from ambiguous parent completion semantics where child progress does not reliably roll up to overarching milestones. Trice applies strict recursive evaluation rules to calculate parent node states deterministically.
Hierarchy Evaluation Invariants
- Strict Rollup Rules: A parent task cannot register as completed until 100% of its child nodes reach terminal states.
- Blocker Propagation: Any child node marked as blocked automatically cascades a warning state up the entire ancestor tree.
- Immutable State History: Every state rollup recalculates against an append-only transaction ledger to ensure absolute auditability.
Deterministic tree evaluation guarantees project status reports reflect ground truth without manual intervention.
