A comprehensive daily log must capture more than subjective manual reflections. Physical recovery metrics, system uptime, and git commit frequencies provide grounding context for cognitive productivity. The Bosun Logbook architecture consumes structured telemetry streams from local daemons and aggregates them into daily summaries.

The Sensory Ingestion Daemon

The Logbook ingestion pipeline accepts JSON-lines telemetry over a local Unix domain socket:

Sensors and scripts push events without opening or locking the user’s markdown files.

Telemetry Digest Section

At the end of each UTC day, a scheduled cron task aggregates raw sensor telemetry into a clean markdown table appended to the daily journal:
